About the Role

Our Advisors will provide regulatory and compliance support and advice to clients operating in the space and associated digital economy sectors, focusing on advice related to upstream and downstream space economy regulation, licensing, corporate governance, talent lifecycle management, international trade compliance and B2B commercial relationships, with a secondary focus on the digital economy market including B2C compliance and privacy regulation.

Duties will include acting as a point of contact with clients and providing them advice on regulatory policy matters in the relevant sector, provide timely and accurate advice to clients, assist clients in developing necessary policies and procedures, assist clients with obtaining licenses, consents and associated regulatory approvals, contribute to compliance audits and analyze client policies, practices, and procedures, with the goal of creating, developing, and implementing improved practices to boost client compliance.

Additional duties will include supporting the Company’s training program, Albalex Academy, by generating content and delivering training session to clients.

Advisors will be expected to support Albalex by representing the Company in a professional capacity at relevant industry-related events and conferences, in addition to supporting processes that facilitate internal communications and managing the Company’s knowledge base related to the Advisors’ areas of expertise within the space and digital economies.

Furthermore, Advisors should have a willingness to strive to align regulatory compliance matters with clients’ commercial goals, collaborate with external advisors when required, and contribute to development of the Company’s RegTech product propositions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience and knowledge of/familiarity with risk management processes and procedures, demonstrably sound judgment and the ability to analyze situations and information, as well as outstanding written and oral communication.  

  • An education to degree level in the fields of risk, compliance, government affairs, or regulatory policy is preferred.  

  • Prior experience within the space or digital economy sector is required and Advisors are expected to have prior experience of the regulatory landscape in the commercial (non-human) spaceflight sector, or the digital sector such as data analytics and privacy regulation, including sound technical knowledge and experience with regulators, third parties, audits, investigations and implementation of compliance improvements.
